Shelby and Miles are real-life luminaries worthy of canonization, and their exploits made history. He portrays the work they did in a way that auto fans can admire, showing how their knowledge of every inch of the vehicle eventually helped prevail.

An influential cult film from the 1970s, “Vanishing Point” is the high-speed story of Kowalski (Barry Newman), a former police officer, pro racer, motorcyclist, and Vietnam War veteran turned car delivery driver, as he races to reach his destination.
The other attractions have actors voice the characters, which are manipulated via digital puppetry — the manipulation of digital animated figures in real time. Kettler recalls the drivers so motivated by each other’s rapid pace that they would almost stumble out of the race car and lie on the pitwall gasping for air after their stints. They even switched cars later on and immediately were on each other’s pace. Inside, the steering wheel, climate controls, shift lever, and screens (10.2 inches in the instruments, 9 inches in the middle) are all Integra stuff, which in turn means it’s all Civic stuff. The dash itself does get a unique design that’s visually similar to the electric ZDX’s and elevates it above those cars quite a bit. Red, soft-touch surfaces, stitching, and brightwork make the ADX feel fancier than its roots, and glossy black plastic has this slightly knurled texture to it which surely makes dust, scratches, and fingerprints less obvious than if it were smooth.
